Boasting its own elite Rugby Football Team, Taunton is the place to watch your favourite game featuring the Taunton Titans. Based at The Tower Gate Stadium, Hyde Park, the Team consists of local and international players. Founded over one hundred and forty years ago the present-day team is coached by Tony Yapp and Captained by Dan Lee.
Competing in the Southern League, Premier South Division and playing their important Home games at their Wordsworth Drive Ground, nicknamed the Peacocks are Taunton’s successful Football Team. Based at The Cygnet Health Care Stadium with manager Rob Dray at the helm the team won the FA Vase in 2001.

Known as the County Ground and the home to Somerset’s Cricket Team the Taunton Cricket Club have hosted matches on their elite pitch since 1882. Located between St James Street and Priory Bridge Road the ground can hold a maximum of 12,500 for International matches.
The very first competitive Cricket played at these grounds was in 1882 and a great winning victory over the Hampshire Cricket Club of five wickets.
